How do I get Yojo Mama on My Cell Phone?

Obviously, to get this far you know how to access Yojo Mama on your computer. To visit Yojo Mama on your cell phone you can do one of two things: 1) open your cell phone browser and input the Yojo Mama url: www.yojomama.com, or 2) click the "home" tab at the top of this page, in the image of the phone type in your cell phone number and select your carrier, and we will send you a text message with a clickable link to the site.

How do I join?

To become a Yojo Mama member, just click on "sign in" in the upper right hand portion of the site, and then click "join now."

Yojo Mama has weekly articles on different topics in each city.You can sign up to have a the topics of that week's articles sent to your cell phone. So we do not disturb your baby's sleep, you can select when you want to receive it as well.

How do I change my password?

Want to change your password? Just click on "edit profile." In the bottom left hand of that screen, you'll see "Change Password." Click on that. On the page that opens, type in your old password and then type in your new one twice. Voila, you have a new password!

How do I stop/change the SMS Alerts?

To stop or change how you get the SMS alerts for new articles, simply go to "edit profile," and simply unclick the time you do not want to receive the alerts, and then click the "update" button.

How do I use the Deals?

On the phone

If you find a Yojo Mama deal on your phone, simply show the deal screen on your phone display to the shop attendant and they will give you whatever deal is shown.

Please be aware. Some of the deals have time limits which should be stated on the deal itself.

On the PC

If you find a Yojo Mama deal on your PC, simply print it out and take it with you to the store.

What are YoMinders and how do I use them?

Have you ever had someone tell you about a great place, you look it up online, but then you forget about it when you are in the area. No longer. YoMinders remind you of those places when you are near them.

Simply look up the business on our site. At the bottom of the business details, click on "YoMind It." There you can decide if you want to be reminded just when you are in the neighborhood, or also when you are looking for businesses in that category, say restaurants.

You can stop it reminding you by simply going to "My Diaper Bag" and clicking on the particular YoMinder in your YoMinder list. There you can discard it or edit it as you wish.

What is Trip It and how do I use it?

The Yojo Mama "Trip it" feature allows you to search all of the places you want to see on your PC and then access this same information when you are out and about from your cell phone.

Simply search all of the places you want to visit on our Family Find feature. When you find a place you want to save, click the "Trip It" button. This will give you the option of creating a new trip or adding it to one you have already created. Then, just click save and you can access this business from either your cell phone or your PC.

Where did the name Yojo Mobile come from?

The name Yojo comes from Herman Melville's Moby Dick. Yojo is the name of the wooden idol that Ishmael's bunkmate, Queequeg, prays to. We see the cell phone as a portable device that can answer many of your questions, not unlike Yojo answered Queequeg's questions.

Can we license Yojo Mama (or other Yojo Mobile service) for our country?

At the moment we are looking for region-wide franchisees for Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. So, sorry, we would rather not license it for individual countries.
